SOCO Gallery is thrilled to present a solo booth of multimedia textile works by artist Jackie Milad in the Focus Section at the Armory Show 2022. Curated by Carla Alcevedo-Yates, curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Focus will examine the intersectionality of issues surrounding the environment, focusing on personal and political climates as they interact with race and gender. Encompassing artists that foreground South-South ecologies, the section will introduce a transcultural conversation around art production grounded on abstract, representational, and conceptual approaches.
