BIO
Holly Coulis (b. 1968, Toronto, Canada) holds an MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and a BFA from the Ontario College of Art and Design, Toronto. Coulis is an abstract painter who utilizes bright, contrasting colors to reimagine still lifes and create twisting compositions.
Recent exhibitions include solo shows at Philip Martin Gallery, Los Angeles, CA; Klaus von Nichtssagend Gallery, New York, NY; Simon Lee Gallery, London; Cooper Cole Gallery, Toronto, Ontario; and Cherry and Martin Gallery, Los Angeles, CA. Group exhibitions include Cooper Cole, Toronto, Ontario; Longhouse Projects, New York, NY; Bravin Lee Projects, New York, NY; and Galleria d’Art Moderna, Milan, Italy; among others. Coulis lives and works in Athens, Georgia.
