BIO
Holly Keogh (b. 1991, Charlotte, North Carolina) studied Fine Art and Art Theory at the University of Cape Town, Cape Town, South Africa and received her BA and BFA at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, and her MFA from Goldsmiths, University of London’s Masters of Fine Art program. She was the ASC Emerging Artist Fellowship Recipient in 2021 from the Arts and Science Council, Charlotte, NC; the Bennett Prize Finalist in 2020 from the Muskegon Museum of Art, Muskegon, Michigan; and the Best Visual Artist award in 2019 from QC Nerve, Charlotte, NC. Keogh’s works offer rich entry points into abstracted, kaleidoscopic realities containing domestic scenes, lush environments, and overlaid portraits. Using a combination of lucid washes, pressed pigment and realistic renderings she addresses themes of femininity, belonging, desire and Jungian psychology.
After graduation at UNC Charlotte, Keogh became a founding member of the Charlotte based artist collective, Goodyear Arts. She was selected to participate in the Pienkow Artist Residency in Chelm, Poland in 2019 and was an artist in residence at the McColl Center for Art and Innovation in 2020. Keogh was a finalist of the 2021 Bennet Prize Figurative Painting Competition, and was included in their two year exhibition across the US. She has had solo exhibitions at Spring/Break art show in NYC and SOCO Gallery in NC. In 2025, Keogh had a two-person exhibition ay SOCO Gallery and a solo show at Goldsmith’s University. In 2023, she had a solo show at the Mint Museum in Charlotte, North Carolina as part of their Constellation Series. Keogh lives and works in London, UK.
