BIO

Raymond Grubb (b. 1952, American) is a native of Morganton, NC. He is a graduate of Davidson College and currently resides in Charlotte, NC. Raymond’s century-old platinum process imbues his images with a warmth, tenderness, and candor that is difficult to attain with modern techniques. Since 2020, the artist has been working in color including portraits of his husband, himself, and the botanical series, Mendelian Meditations.

Recent exhibitions include SOCO Gallery, Charlotte, NC; the Gregg Museum of Art and Design, NC State, Raleigh, NC; The Light Factory, Charlotte, NC; Category of Bartur Photography Awards (Berlin, Germany, Paris, France, London, United Kingdom, Lodz, Poland); The Mint Museum, Charlotte, NC; and Van Every Smith Galleries, Davidson College, Davidson, NC.
